We want as many people as possible to be able to use The Swanage School’s website. For example, that means you should be able to:

Some of the videos on our website are produced by other organisations and embedded on YouTube or another video hosting platform. These videos may not have BSL, audio descriptions, captions, or transcripts. This does not meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.2 and as such will not meet the accessibility requirements.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Our website has been redesigned and a key part of the consideration in adopting the new design has been to improve usability for everyone.
We will continue to improve accessibility by:
- Providing alt text for images on, and added to, the site
- Finding alternatives to using images of text
- Providing transcripts and captions for videos
- Taking ongoing advice from our web design agency on accessibility features
