Our Facilities
Built in 2014, The Swanage School provides state-of-the-art learning spaces which mirror the school's innovative approach to teaching.
The school is centered around a large atrium which is used for assemblies, events and performances, as well as acting as the dining room for lunch.
The gull-wing building designed by architect Jestico + Whiles contains specialised teaching spaces for subjects such as science, design technology, creative media, drama and catering, as well as 'standard' classrooms, all equipped with interactive technology.
A large art studio is at the centre of the first floor, with panoramic views of the Purbeck hills and a gallery space on the balcony above the hall.
We have a full-sized (four badminton court) Sports Hall which gets extensive use, both by students and the wider community outside school hours. Our outside areas include a netball court, an all-weather Astro pitch and our Green Space nature area (Forest School).
