bp Ultimate STEM Challenge

bp Ultimate STEM Challenge

For our current Interhouse Challenge, running over 4 weeks, students in years 7,8 and 9 are taking part in the bp Ultimate Stem Challenge "A Home for Nature", with a chance to win £3,000 to see their design come to life!

This year, the bp Educational Service Ultimate STEM Challenge invites young people across the UK to come up with a design for an amazing wild area, that includes natural and technical solutions for improving biodiversity in school grounds, at home or in the community and helps to tackle the decline in our native wildlife.

bp is a long-term supporter of STEM and continues to encourage and energise every generation, helping them gain a better understanding of how important STEM subjects are. As they say, the future needs a steady stream of talented people with a strong foundation in STEM subjects - science, technology, engineering and maths - who will continue to drive progress and innovation to solve the challenges the world faces over the years to come.

STEM education is the learning of STEM subjects through an integrated approach; one that offers hands-on and relevant learning experiences. The bp Ultimate STEM Challenge is designed to spark creativity and problem-solving skills and to enhance employability by inspiring children to tackle real-world challenges.

We'll update you on students' progress in our end-of-term newsletter and you can find out more about the bp Ultimate STEM Challenge on bp's website here: A home for nature
